Implementation of an ADALINE-Based Adaptive Control Strategy for an LCLC-PV-DSTATCOM in Distribution System for Power Quality Improvement

This study investigated the problem of controlling a three-phase three-wire photovoltaic (PV)-type distribution static compensator (DSTATCOM). In order to model, simulate, and control system, MATLAB/SIMULINK tool was used. Different controllers were applied create switching pulses for IGBT-based voltage source converter (VSC) mitigation various power quality issues in PV-DSTATCOM. Traditional algorithms guarantee faultless execution or outcomes only restricted range operating situations due their present design. Alternative regulators depend on more resilient neural network fuzzy logic that may be programmed operate variety settings. this study, an adaptive linear (ADALINE) proposed solve efficiently than existing methods. The ADALINE method simulated results compared with synchronous reference frame theory (SRFT), improved sinusoidal tracer (ILST), backpropagation (BP) algorithms. simulation showed outperformed addition, total harmonic distortions (THDs) current estimated under ideal grid conditions based IEEE-929 IEEE-519 guidelines.
